What do you think about menstrual cups?

I'd be interested in your experiences. I'm currently testing it myself.

And a quick question: How long can I leave the cup in? I've heard something about 12 hours, because bacteria can't build up on the silicone itself. Is that true? Or is the risk of TTS too high, and I should only leave it in for 8 hours, like a tampon?

Hello

I use the menstruation cup myself and I am very happy with her.

I don’t have a strong bleeding (but I did not have it because of which I had it at all) which is why Tampons even in the mini variant trigger pain when removing. The menstruation cup does not tell the blood why I can use it even with weak bleeding without having any pain. In the case of severe bleeding, I was completely and completely protected. Here and there you went a little bit to the side, but that’s what you did at the Tampon. It is very pleasant to wear and you hardly feel it.

YES You can leave them inside for 12 hours without problems or fear of TSS. It is only necessary to adhere to the hygiene treatment and then it goes without infections or anything else.

I wrote a whole blog article about the menstruation cup and everything you need to know: https://schlauer-blog.blogspot.com/2022/01/alles-zur-menstruationstasse.html?m=1

I hope I could help you 🙃

Good luck 🍀

Yeah, you can leave them up to 12h, but I’ve been testing them for a few months and if they don’t sit properly, you have a disaster. 50% does not raise it 50%. It’s okay, a lot more environmentally friendly than tampons.

No, that’s not bad.

When I use the cup and introduce it for the first time on the first day, it also pulls with me. The vagina is straight stretched, but this pain reappears as soon as the vagina has adapted. Sometimes it takes a moment.

It is rather an emergency solution if you do not have a pot or sterilization cup or Microwave. It should be boiled for 10 minutes in a pot or sterilized in the microwave with a sterilization cup. So you can be 100% sure that it is sterile and can really be worn for 12 hours.

If the size doesn’t fit, you have to fold the one to insert so together. If it doesn’t happen properly on floppy, it’s like
