Wie finden Wildbienen ihr Loch im Bienenhotel?

Ich habe einen Holzstapel, meterhoch. Hier und da sind Löcher ins Stirnholz bebohrt. Ich selbst könnte das Holzstück nicht wiederfinden, geschweige denn, das Loch. Wie kann ein so winziges Gehirn das verarbeiten? Nicht einmal zu einem ordentlichen Blutkreislauf hat es gereicht, aber damit wird der “Prozessor” wohl trotzdem mit ausreichend Zucker versorgt. Oder geht es nach Geruch?

The fact that the approach in si densely packed laying inlets can be flown directly in a targeted manner is to be explained only by a pronounced sense of smell.

Trying to irritate the wild bees in which I painted the bamboo tubes in colour showed that they cannot be irritated by slight environmental change.

In the males it is clear that the sense of smell dominates:

They fly to the tube and when they have made a female cocoon, it is pulled out and grazed.

Right. In combination with her right good sense of vision.

In addition, their ability to align themselves with the sun and the earth magnetism comes.
