How do you break in a moped properly?
Hello, I bought a new KSR TR 125 and need to break it in. The owner's manual states that you shouldn't go faster than 80% of the maximum power at first. Strangely, however, it also states that in 6th gear, for example, you can only go up to 45 km/h (that really seems a bit low to me, even for a break-in period).
My brother borrowed the moped and drove the first 150 km at 8,000 rpm (in 6th gear up to 90 km/h). Is this absolutely a problem, or can I just keep driving normally? Can you tell me what you think about this and what your maximum speed would be? Thanks😁

Fach nochmal so 500 bis 900km weiter genau so, halt permanent hohe Drehzahl vermeiden mal zum beschleunigen kannst du aber auch zum Roten raus drehen aber halt nicht permanent.
Meinst du, es könnten wegen meinem Bruder jetzt schon Motorschäden da sein?
ne Denke ich nicht solange er nicht permanent vollgas fährt passiert da nichts…
honda sagt inzwischen sogar as Einfahren obsolet ist und schon in den 80ern wurde bei VW intern gesagt welche werkstatt nach den ersten 1000km nen Ölwechsel macht verkaift in zukunft blumentöpfe anstelle von Autoa 😉
Es könnte vor allem am Anfang zu Problemen mit Schmierfilm und Temperatur kommen. Kolbenringe zB liegen noch nicht völlig planlos an der Zylinderwand an usw. Kann gut gehen, aber auch in die Hose. Auf der sicheren Seite bist Du nur wenn Du dich an die Vorgaben des Herstellers hältst.
