How do I recognize thrombosis after AstraZeneca vaccination?

Hello,

Yesterday I got my first COVID-19 vaccination (AstraZeneca). Last night I had a fever, chills, body aches, and a headache. Now I only have a headache. But after standing for a while, my left calf started to hurt (it felt like a strain). After sitting down, it's somewhat better, but it still hurts a little.

My question now is whether this is a cause for concern and whether I should see a doctor.

I look forward to helpful answers 🙂

Headache are one of the frequent side effects after a Covid-19 vaccination, whether with the vaccine of Astra-Zeneca, Biontech/Pfizer or other preparations. They usually occur shortly after vaccination and also only last briefly. Lead symptoms of a sine vein thrombosis, on the other hand, are strong persistent headaches and other neurological symptoms. The Paul-Ehrlich-Institute is currently suggesting that you are immediately in medical treatment if you feel increasingly uncomfortable more than four days after vaccination, for example with severe and persistent headaches or punctiform skin bleeding (petechia).

…when additional neurological symptoms such as half-page paralysis and/or emotional disorders, speech disorders or epileptic seizures develop, further diagnostics should be carried out immediately.” If punctiform bleeding occurs, especially at the extremities (i.e. arms and legs), a coagulation diagnosis with blood image and determination of the number of thrombocytes should take place.

Very strong headaches that last longer than 3-4 days are summarized, punctiform skin bleeding (especially at extremities). other neurological failures, such as paralysis (semi-side), emotional disorders and speech disorders, indicators that indicate such thrombosis.

All other symptoms or side effects, rarely hold several days and headache is a normal one.

… maybe you could do something in time if you were not waiting for such drastic side effects.

If you have over 4 days strong headaches in the area of nasal root and eye, which are not treatable with painkillers, feel physically bad beyond 4 days and/or you have punctiform bleeding at a body location, you should go to a doctor.

What you describe is a typical vaccination reaction after initial vaccination, which should disappear within 48 hours.

Astra was about the brain vein and not about leg veins.

The vaccination effects have a lot- that passes and is a sign that the vaccination strikes.

Based on symptoms strong Headaches or thrombosis five to 16 days after vaccination.

The side effects you described may occur immediately (within three days).

Vaccinated persons who have thromboses or neurological symptoms such as dizziness, headaches or visual disorders from the fifth day after vaccination should therefore be tested for HIT type 2. The GTH explicitly points out that uneasiness is normal in the first three days after vaccination. A review of thromboses or a lack of blood platelets is only useful in the case of new symptoms from the fifth day; Previously, HIT type 2 does not use.

This has nothing to do with AstraZeneca, because this does not affect your brain veins.

However, you should let these side effects report to your doctor

I’d call the rescue service for security.

Good improvement!

So if you do, then the 116117 and don’t ask for the rescue, that’s not right.

such an ambulance comes only hours later..

Driving to the KH is even better than getting the rescue due to diffuse complaints.

I’d take a headache tablet and if it doesn’t help go to the hospital immediately. But you can do it differently.

HB? https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/HB

This has nothing to do with the AZ vaccination.

That’s just another name. I’m not kidding. Had an HB and came to the hospital at the Stroke Unit. Besides headaches, I had nothing but bleeding.

116117 is the medical care service, you comedian. They can only answer by phone if there is an emergency at all or one is only lonely.

If God was vaccinated with Biontech, however, it should be normal at Astrazeneca

I mean headaches

The cases discussed in connection with AstraZeneca were deep sine vein thrombosis in the brain. Not an aua in the leg.

Of course, a pain can occur in the legs. But then you ask a doctor and don’t roll around. I have a varicose myself. But legthromboses are clearly saying:

Signs of thrombosis

Threshold leg or ankles suddenly, hurt them, become hot or discolor them bluish, this can indicate a thrombosis. In this case, you should immediately consult a doctor. https://www.netdoktor.de/news/krampfadern-hoeheres-risk-fuer-thrombosen/

Yes, of course, you can get the chamber hunter just because it has a short taste.

It’s known that you feel bad for one or two days. Can’t you just accept that?

have you been vaccinated with Astra? Do you want to be responsible for doing something wrong and therefore dying? I’m saying, I’d rather get too much to the doctor/hospital.

Just call the doctor, with a brain vein thrombosis would not write here, because you have the most cruel headache you can’t stop at all!
