What is the best way to remove this piece of wood?

It's under my desk and I want to remove it because I can't move my legs.

There's nowhere I can take it off. I have no idea how it's attached.

I want to break it with an axe or hammer. Do you think that's a good idea?

If you can’t take this out, this will be a supporting component. If you want to break this with a hammer, the entire desk will collapse.

But the stability will suffer massively. Then the part is shaking back and forth.

Then this is really a furniture connector. You can try to turn the part (approximately half rotation) and then have to pull the side wall out.

But, as I see this on the exemplary picture, this will suffer stability. That’s why the board is fixed.

Well, that’s a storage part and, by the way, serves something for the stability of the whole part. If you remove it, the regal side part would be unstable.

I would remove the “Brett”, best to release connections as it was introduced. Nevertheless, the side parts do not need to be self-contained. Because the metal stands are only for the table top.

Build a frame made of simple wooden slats, can also be roof slats that are slightly machined and screw it on. Practically like a reverse U.

Alternatively, you can try to see if it stops when the deposit is attached to the bottom. You would have leg freedom and only a small threshold.

Understand and get the hair if I can’t stretch my legs.

These “screw parts” will not be screws, but parts that “create” another metal part in the wood.

Of course you can see if you can disassemble the whole desk, because somehow it was assembled.

But if you remove this wooden plate, you will need to build something else to secure the stability of the desk.

If you break down this deposit or break it, then the desk will be so unstable that it can no longer stand calm if it helps you, then cut a corner out of the plate so your legs have more space, but completely remove it I would not then the desk is very unstable.

When you take this out, the desk moves to the right and left until it is completely unstable and collapses laterally.

If you do, you have to screw up the board in the back. Also with extra wooden blocks behind it, which then keep the board stable. To keep the desk stable.

It can’t be a good idea. You might break more than you want.

look from below to the plate there is definitely what to solve

This board will provide stability of the desk. You can remove it, but you will need a little longer because I guess you will have to solve the worktop above as well.
then you have to have something different to make the table stabilize.

something like this?

MINIFIX 12 housing with a thickness of 12 mm nickel-plated with cover edge. Minifix 12R nickel | LignoShop

If so, it says that the board should ensure stability.
