How do you tell your parents that you want to change jobs?

As I already said, I'm very unhappy with my job. My parents don't know, only my boyfriend. The patient transport position at my boyfriend's hospital will probably open soon. I currently earn €1,800, and at the hospital I'd only earn €1,600-1,700 for the first six months because of the probationary period, and then around €2,000 each year. My next problem is, I've already booked vacation. Do you think that's a problem? Especially how do I tell my parents I want to change jobs? Should I tell my boss in person that I'm quitting, or just send in a resignation letter? How would you go about that?

Especially how do I tell my elders that I want to change the job?

Why?

You are Yearly and can decide all alone.

Next problem I’ve booked vacation, do you think that’s a problem?

Yeah, sure.

Your new employer is not bound to your old employer’s holiday statement.

Especially how do I tell my elders that I want to change the job?

“Mama, Dad, I’ll change the job.”

I can no longer cancel the holiday

Take it easy, especially the first days.

The sample time is not for free.

Maybe you’re even wondering about the vacation?

A reasonable employer knows you need a holiday, but only after the trial period would that be in November.

Who makes a holiday in November?

So take a look at the new company and if you have a good feeling they might have a plan for it.

Then you’ll have to pay him, even if you can’t get him.

You’re an independent person. Just change him.

And -200€ is fine. Take care of money and put it back. At 1600€, this is very feasible.

Depending on how you understand the boss, you can tell him personally. Otherwise you’ll just send the termination.

You’re growing up and you don’t have to inform your parents if you have a new job.

It’s important not to quit before you get the job. Do you cover all requirements for the patient’s driving service? Do you have a passenger ticket?

The holiday should not be a problem if the employer wants you. It is not unusual that in April you have already planned and booked the holiday for the year.

You cancel in time and in writing. You don’t need to tell your parents, but if you don’t, say that the old job was not for you because of xy (or simply nothing for you) and you’re changing the job.

You terminate in writing in due time. And then give the letter to your boss. Yeah, you can tell him what’s in it.

You don’t have to say anything to your parents: they don’t care about it. It’s your choice of how to get money. Unless you’re a minor. Then simply tell them in a sentence:

I was looking for a new job.

The booked holiday is of course problematic. You should settle this before the signature.

… because your new employer does not have to permit you the same holiday period as your old AG did.

The young lady is all year round, but she just needs a lot of help.

So slowly I don’t have quite unjust doubts about the full year of the questioner…

You have to negotiate with your new employer
