How afraid of losing dentist?
Hey,
I (f/13) was never really afraid of the dentist, but because my baby teeth never got loose, even though the new one was already coming in, the dentist had to pull out almost all of them. So every time they saw a new tooth, they pulled it out. That made me pretty scared because every time I went to the dentist, one or more of my baby teeth were pulled out. On top of that, my dentist isn't that friendly and hardly ever smiles.
Strangely enough, I'm not afraid of the orthodontist.
How can I overcome my fear of the dentist? I don't have any baby teeth anymore, and yet I still cry out of fear every time I go.
Thank you for your answer in advance

It often depends on how sensitive a doctor is. Here you seem to have had a doctor who was not sensitive. I’d say you’re a little scared in the future. Then this can be discussed and I would also change the doctor in the context. What’s the orthodontic?
Hey,
Thank you for the answer,
I find it a bit sad that a dentist who specializes in anxious patients is dealing with his patients. My mother doesn’t want to change the doctor and I think he knows I’m afraid because I’ve often cried in or out of the treatment room and I’m always very pale.
My orthodontic orthopedist was very careful from the front because he noticed that I was afraid when I was there for the first time, he asked if I was afraid and I didn’t need it, he was careful and laughed a lot, my dentist has been smiling three times for 6 years.

Hello 🙂
Thank you.
I’m so sorry for you. Unfortunately, I have had to make some of these bad experiences.
And you’re right – doctors who specialize in it need to have a lot of empathy and understanding. But this is not true for everyone.
Maybe you can ask your pine orthopedists if he has tips on how to deal with this fear.
Thanks for the star!

You are welcome
Day is a good idea, thank you

There are dentists specializing in anxious patients.
That’s right, but my only one is for fear patients, but I’ve only got my fear with him.
Thanks anyway
Unfortunately, something like that happened to me, I was already with a fear dental doctor who took care of my fear zero
There are also differences among doctors specializing in anxiety patients. If necessary, change to another doctor who specializes in it.
Sure. I can feel your situation well. We can do it. What do you mean exactly how it was with you and how it got better? You can also write it privately if you want. LG
Thanks for all the tips,
Would it be okay for you to write private? So in a single chat? Maybe you can tell me how it was with you and how it got better (if it improved) I would be very happy.

I can understand that very well. I’ve done it. When the barrel goes over at some point, you can’t suppress emotions anymore.
Oh, my God, your dentist is a real vomit, just like you write it. Hard to believe that such people call themselves specialists for anxiety patients.
I’d be looking for the conversation with both of you again and explain what you’re stressing.
In addition, I would also talk about your other burdens with someone so that your situation relaxes.
My mother is always with it and gets it, my dentist has seen me crying several times and then says when I stop crying it takes longer.
I’m just emotionally out of my mind anyway, and if there are still such stress situations I can’t keep the tears back
Does she know how bad you are with your current doctor? That you even have to cry? Maybe you can tell your dentist that. That you have to be afraid and even cry and it would help you if he tears a few jokes or something.
That’s right
This does not make the whole better for you or for me, unfortunately there are too few dentists who respond positively to their patients
That’s really bad, but soothing to hear that’s not just how I feel.
My mother does not allow it, but I will ask her again
There are so many things in life, with it being a smooth inside.
You have to do it anyway.
In some cases the fear is also learned, with every experience.
Don’t worry about it.
I always had, in the speaking room, in the li. hand a Talisman towel.
