Hej Girldas,

two closely related cube types of the Cubozoa family are called seaweed:Chiropsalmus quadrigatus andChironex fleckeri.

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiropsalmus\_quadrigatus

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chironex\_fleckeri#Life cycle

The life cycle of the individuals of both species begins as a fertilized egg, which develops into a freely movable larvae and finally into a fixed polyps.

These polyps can be asexually propagated by knospung. Whether in this way they reach the age that is researched by gray-pecht and already doubted, or evenTurritopsis dohrnii (or T. nutricula) are immortal, has not yet been investigated.

From the polyps, however, female and male meds (squals) can also develop, which are then released, float around and multiply sexually after about two months, i.e. Release and fertilize eggs. Soon after that, these medals die at a (total) age of about 70-88 days. In experiments in an aquarium, a life age of nine months was reached.

The two types of cubes attack people as little as Medusen (Cnidaria) would. One person or another had to come into contact with them.

Love

I heard some cubs are immortal! I don’t know if that’s true. But of course it is also so in this 😉

The Seewspe can become 10 000 years old.
I can’t imagine.

I see this as you and have the impression that a not necessarily expert author has generalized newer insights into certain ensembles.
