Hello PeterP58📩

Since I am someone who deletes unimportant 1x weekly and only keeps important, such as invoices etc. and I don’t have my current mail account so long, I believe for 12 years, my oldest mail is not 7 years old despite the age of the account. It is also because I had consistently deleted everything at the time and only started to create folders with the setup of online banking.

However, have a second mail account, which I have for over 17 years, which today holds for everything I do not want on my main account, this is really only important things, the other for registrations at forums, at game accounts that are not so important etc. I barely mixed up, so there should be mails that are stoned.

My oldest email in Thunderbird is from 03.08.2002. It’s about registration on a website. Can’t go because there’s no longer the offer.

However, the date also means that I did not receive this mail with Thunderbird, as the program was only published 1 year later. At that time, I used Eudora on Windows and I was able to import all emails from Eudora when switching to Thunderbird.

Later, when changing Windows to macOS, I simply copied the Thunderbird profile to the new computer via an external hard drive. And so this mail has survived the change over 3 or more computers.

I thank you for your question because I could think about my software and OS change. 👍😁

In the current mail program: 3 months. All that is older comes to an archive regularly via mailstore.

Oh ever, caught 😚 My is from 2011 when I got my current PC; are about 6200 messages stored because I barely extinguish, except advertising. Unanswered are approx. 300 – shame on me…

Then it’s good. The 300 are on my personal PC, private I am less negligent, there are only 100 😅

Uff…they’ve been erased…. It started at school that you sent something in your PC lessons about outlook… and then Web.de came and you sent his Crush a mail…and got a back after 4 weeks… The successor of letters 🙂

I have a hotmail account that only carries my last name, which is why I do not lift it up – from 1996 and I do not delete anything until the storage space costs nix. I was already grown up at that time.

I am old:)

20.02.2020 – funny date

Although the internet was used as from 2000/01, I was just 14/15 and only needed the mails to log on to websites like localists etc.

A bit later, I had my first phone and the communication with my friends ran through SMS.

Personally, I think I have been extremely rarely entertained by e-mail and I had never had a reason to archive an e-mail (I believe) before.

If something was through, the corresponding mail moves into the recycle bin.

But it’s also empty, I always extinguish

Yeah, and they only came in 2008, they gagled the night… I don’t know what I really did at the time on the net.

No more

My friend, for example. She is 15 years older and knows neither spin, nor localists, nor MySpace

I still know Spinchat, but I wasn’t really active there. If you didn’t mention it, I would have forgotten it forever.

MySpace was still there…

I’m never older than 24 hours, but I’m on vacation and so I’m not home.

I’ll go to the mailbox 1 times a day.

My oldest mail is from 1999 and I wrote the one when I rebuilt my GMX account. My email mailbox had its 25. Birthday and is still in use.
