Resistance 300ohm too low, bad?

Good day,

We did a soldering exercise today in class, and it calls for five 3.3kΩ resistors. I didn't have 3kΩ resistors available, so I used 3kΩ. Unfortunately, the circuit doesn't work. Could this be due to the resistors? Is it a big deal that the 300Ω resistors are too low?

Normally, circuits should be dimensioned such that approximately 10% deviation does not interfere.

You should know more about the circuit.

Show us the schematic, then we can tell you.

Probably you just made a mistake in building up. However, it may also be that the wrong resistors have caused the fault or have destroyed a component (due to a total voltage on the component, due to false voltage dividers or the like). I’d have to see the schematic.

How can we say that without even knowing what this is for a circuit?

but couldn’t you solder 200-500 in series?
