Cancellation – do I have to wait for the seller or return the item at my own expense?
Hello,
I bought a book box, but wrote to support two weeks ago asking them to please cancel the box.
Nothing came from support.
Now the book box arrived, and I immediately wrote to them saying I wanted to cancel it—no response. I've been waiting for a week and a half. I've sent them two requests asking if I can return it—nothing yet (they're not a fake shop, but they're extremely overworked and would rather do pop-up stores than get their act together).
Should I return the package at my own expense? Their website states that returns cost a €4.95 processing fee. So…if I send it at my own expense, I end up having to pay the excessive DHL shipping costs and then also get a processing fee tacked on?
What would you do? Wait for a response or return it at your own expense? The box cost 30 euros. A return would cost me 7+ euros with DHL, plus the store's 4.95 processing fee.
I assume that you have actually declared a revocation and not just requested a cancellation.
Then the shop usually informs about the exact return modes, so where the package must be, who bears the costs.
If he didn’t do this, there’s something like this on the HP at reputable shops.
Of course, you can also make the return shipment at your own expense. Always pay attention to the deadline. You have 14 days of time to revoke.
Yes, I’ve made a full revocation statement. If I have 14 days, I have to send it at my own expense, because they don’t answer…and as far as I understand, there are also the processing costs. So whether it’s worth losing 12-13 euros…
Whether it’s worth it, you have to decide yourself.
