You should know where less frequently used operating elements such as the warning blinker or emergency stop are sitting, how to check the liquid levels (cooling water, brake fluid) before the start of the ride (e.g. tire profile, chain tension), you should be able to explain to him what a reflector is or what you recognize that a tire is flat.

One of our local testers is known that it unobtrusively presses the brake caliper back with the leg and then asks you to check the pressure point of the brake, others want to see that you know that when the brake light is checked, both foot and hand brake levers are to be tested, not just one.
