Why network?
Social media, newspapers, and general advice are often given to employees to network. Unfortunately, I haven't yet received a coherent explanation of what this means and why they should be active.

Everything is getting much more expensive, and the minimum wage has just been raised to 12.41. Why is that?
Hi, I've been using the Vodafone hotspot for about a month now. Yesterday, mine expired again, and I wanted to redeem my new one, which I had already purchased. However, I don't quite remember how it works, and when I try to redeem it, I just get the message below… I've already set up the…
Hey guys, for a change, does anyone know a reputable coach who offers high-priced closings? Someone I can go into with a clear conscience? Because I'd like to do something like that! I can't seem to find anything reputable online. That's why I'm asking here. And please take it seriously; I'd really like to do…
Hello everyone. I work for a discount chain. From the beginning of March to the end of April we had to hand over benefits. Small staff, but they do everything. Even though I had two cashiers, I had to manage 90% of the store on my own. It's a 1,000 square meter retail space. Then…
Unfortunately, you only earn a little.
Is €2,800-3,300 net per month a good salary for long-distance truck drivers? You drive mainly to Germany and Italy and spend the night in the truck.
Are you so naive that you do not recognize the power of networking? It’s not just about shaking hands and running small talk. Networking means building relationships and building connections that can open you doors that would otherwise remain closed.
If you think that you can succeed through hard work and talent alone, you’re wrong. The world revolves around relationships and influence. Those who are networking have access to resources, information and opportunities that others remain hidden.
What is behind your doors to open? And what do I have from success except more money in the account?
A network is understood to mean people who know one and who share topics with them. Whether it’s just professional or private, but they might be kind of professionally related to one or later important. In most cases, only d’s professional network is meant and not a private one from friends who is unimportant. What is important is that the people who can say to you would give you information or would recommend you, for example, someone you met 10 years ago and never talked again does not count. It is therefore about a certain relationship with each other, and trust and appreciation is often also important.
Networks can help you get information earlier, get to informinos that you don’t get or are recommended. Whether technical topics, short-run projects or free jobs, for example.
This can facilitate both daily work and in particular simplify next career steps.
For example, I learned about my network from a planned project before my boss even knew it was my interest to announce, then as the official info followed by my boss the ok getting my department there to represent. The project then helped me significantly in my argument for the next salary increase. If I hadn’t been lunch with my colleagues, it would not have been premature, it would probably have been a different colleague who always did so.
Another friend from the study wanted to change professionally, so we asked if we could inform them if something is written in our companies. Thus, she was able to send her own application to the company during the internal application period and received the job before he was externally written out at all. Without a network and therefore early information, it would have only experienced it through the external tender and would have had more competition if necessary. If nothing had happened, she would have been looking for herself, but it was, of course, practicable, as the internal job advertisements also have more details on the job than exteran tenders.
If you don’t get along, it might be easier.
Network is almost everything. Of course, I am also acting, but not as strong as before.
From politics and business people get to know about people, get in touch with them, exchange numbers and meet again and again at a party or go to eat.
What is it? A short anecdote:
A friend just looked for a new job, she was dissatisfied with her old one. In my home country, there is a large club in which extremely many of the great and medium-sized entrepreneurs as well as Union politicians etc are held a festival. So in the internal circle, all completely drunk my girlfriend (friend and not relationship friend) meets a head of a large production company in the city. Both are completely dense, understand well and note that they need a job and he’s looking for a secretary. This has been a few years ago – her well-paid, pleasant place she still has
“Networks” means just to get to know people and keep at least loose contact.
Some of these contacts will be useful in the long term. Maybe you’re looking for another job? If you know who knows about an open place and may even recommend you, it’s easier. Or you’re looking for a business partner, an external company, a subcontractor or the like? The more people you know, the more someone makes you a good offer.
I have found a new job so far if I needed it without a network. And since I’m not an entrepreneur, I don’t need either business partners or suppliers or the like. So don’t answer my question, sorry.
Of course, it is often without. No one is obliged to establish or maintain contacts. The possible advantages have also shown you the other answerers, but it is of course up to you whether you need and want.
