Why is the vocal microphone suddenly making noise?
My t.bone SC450 has been making a deep hissing noise since yesterday. I checked to see if it was the cable, but it wasn't. Apparently, it could be the microphone itself. Do you have any explanation as to why this might be happening and how I can fix it?

I would plug everything back in, restart, and reinstall the drivers. Maybe try a different power outlet. Sometimes these errors have completely crazy causes. Do you have any new devices, or ones that were previously connected somewhere else, that could be causing problems?
This is exactly why I don't have a USB mic in my house.
What's so bad about an interface?
My Steinberg UR22 has been running flawlessly for years.
So mine is connected via XLR
