Because they usually produce high-price high-quality/inovative products for the wide market and this is also accompanied by a status symbol.

But these are cheap devices, not premium products. In the premium segment, Apple is market leader in as good as any product category they offer. Of course, more VW’s are sold than Mercedes.

But they are. Most products they sell are in the cheap segment. You also have a premium segment, yes. There they can’t keep with Apple at the sales figures.
