Why is my bird crunching?
Whenever I give my budgie a kiss or approach him near the cage bars, he starts grinding his teeth. It's similar to a pigeon. Does anyone know why this is happening, or if this is perhaps his way of provoking himself?

Actually, crunchy birds when they feel safe, enjoy the tranquility. You have to pay attention to whether he is "aggressive" or so silently kisses relatively quietly. The quiet crunch is made when the birds feel comfortable, the louder rather when they are not good. I compare it with the loud whining of a cat that is sick, so to speak, a sedative. At least I met my parrots.
They do that when they're okay.
