Why is it wrong to expect the worst?

Many therapists criticize me for always expecting the worst, saying that this is wrong.

But why? There's no evidence that everything will always be okay, that everyone has a bright future.

Without modern medicine, most people would die young. But even medicine can't solve everything.

Why shouldn't you expect that you can lose everything at any time? I've already lost money, I've already lost my health.

I know I will probably lose everything in this life, and I will have to go through many horrible things, I know that.

But what's the point of denying reality? The challenge is to persevere through life despite all the problems, because I believe that's a test.

My future may look bleak in this world, but if I remain faithful to God, I will be saved.

The story of Job gives hope.

Of course, it's possible that God will heal me in this life too, but I wouldn't count on it, because if he doesn't, he has good reasons for doing so.

Nothing in this life is guaranteed, you can lose everything, very likely even, friends, family, health, money, everything is transient.

Only one thing is certain: God will be here forever, and whoever believes in him will receive eternal life.

But why hope for temporary worldly things?

Because they grew up in a healing world with the pink princess wonderland, as a narrative..

Then it’s considered abnormal when someone calculates the worst.

I think that’s predictive. A virtue many have not.

As long as you have no problem with yourself, I don’t see any reason to change.

… and why do you still ask if you have found the answer for you for a long time???

But once seen from the worldly point of view, “permanently counting with the worst” means a life in fear, terror and panic. Body and mind are constantly in the alert state – and this can not go well in the long term, as you can easily think.

It will not be all good in most cases, but also not all bad.

If you expect nothing good, you can’t get anything good!

Life can be so easy!

And also: Who has spoken of the fact that ALL is good? There are in living heights and depths – just like the human bio-rhythm. And whoever only sticks at the lower edge will never create it up – just like the one who only rides at the top of the wave can actually only one thing: drop low!

It is best not to expect anything at all and to be positively surprised.

There is no evidence that everything will be good that everyone has a rosy future.

There is no evidence, however, that must always justify the worst.

If you do it anyway, you make life very difficult. It’s just not healthy because it’s constantly stressing.

It’s good to be prepared. However, you should not be allowed to inhibit yourself from any small risk for a danger or a negative experience and also simply have the courage to experience and enjoy something without thinking of any eventuality.

Our thoughts are the basis of our feelings.

The more pessimistic my worldview, the more uncomfortable and insecure I feel and make my life harder.

Example:

You’re going on vacation for two weeks.

After a week, you think, “Oh, bad is over a week.”

You think, “Oh, how beautiful, I have a week ahead of me.”

I always reckon with the worst and hope the best.

I think everyone has to find their way between blind optimism and a real view.

In 2020, my boss broke up. the ham se all said, “This isn’t gonna be more and wanted to break it. Certainly the joint is in the bucket, and as he could sometimes he can’t do it anymore, but much better than predicted.

my best friend scraped his right knee in 2023. first she didn’t want to see it with jogging. that she always liked to be vinegar. by now, she’s found out.

It’s an illusion that everything’s gonna be like that again, once was. but often something more than some pesimists predict. so do not give up and hang!

It’s only wrong if you’re done.
