In natural plant growth, nitrogen is the most important deficiency component and the maximum growth is determined by the component that is 'used up' as 1. In the meantime, 8 billion people live on Earth and there are only approx. 2000 m2 agricultural area per person! Because the production of ammonia has only enabled us to operate agriculture on today's scale.
As it is therefore essential for food production in the end, it makes sense that the largest quantities are used here.
Because it has a greater benefit for our diet.
The nitrogen in ammonia increases the yields of the plants.
What would you use the ammonia for?
Blast!
Do you have such a need?
Maybe the fertilizer industry pays better?
I personally don't, but the rest of the world is.
Because there are no cars with ammonia engines on the market.

Ammonium nitrate is prepared from ammonia. It is consumed in waste quantities worldwide.
Because it needs most of it. Nitrogen fertilizer.
Because, despite renewed global upgrade, the arms industry has not overtaken it;)
