Why do VPNs like NordVPN “work”?

I don't mean "how" they work, I think I understand that. I was more wondering why they work as such… Take streaming, for example: I can "identify as a US user" and then I'll have access to more series and movies on online streaming platforms. But why doesn't the streaming service make all its offerings available for every country? Do they work with VPN providers? And if not, what's the "problem" with providing all customers with everything they (actually) pay for?

The streaming services do not offer the same content in each country as they do not have the rights for film or series for certain countries. In this case, they must not offer this content there. By the way, the use of a VPN to bypass the barrier is generally not permitted according to the terms and conditions of the streaming services.

They also advertise for the VPN and not for the streaming service.

How the same sound material? If I look at a movie in German, I’ll see it in German.

In most cases, a synchronization does not translate 1:1. What content and word sweat can be lost.

Image material is also such a thing, it is not unusual if certain places are re-cut in another country.

I don’t know what you mean.

But if the service only purchased the right for Germany, it must not send it in America. (These regulations are completely outdated in times of the Woldwide Web is also clear.)

This is completely logical, as every country makes its own laws.

It’s a mistake if you think you can prevent the geoblocking of streaming providers with VPN secured.

If it works, then the respective IP of the VPN provider is still not on the block lists of the providers.
