There are e.g. high-quality PBT Key Caps. They’re usually a little rough. The letters do not dissolve and you do not see any fat stains.

ABS key caps, on the other hand, are usually smoother, the characters on the caps often dissolve after a certain time and there will leave fat spots or the roughness will be worn out over time and will be smooth.

Probably through the use.

Vocals and frequent consonants are used more quickly and therefore feel “softer” than, for example, a much less used “x” or “y”.

In the number block, the “5” has a detectable point, which is a relief for visually impaired.

Probably depends on what the manufacturer thinks, what is better, otherwise it might be the material or production.
