Why do some people always delete the WhatsApp chat after reading a message? What's the point of that?

When I then ask if they have read my message or if they still have the picture I sent, I get the answer: I deleted the chat.

What's the point? Are you worried someone might access the messages? I've never deleted a chat in my life in case I need to look something up. I really don't understand the caution!

Can have sooo many reasons.
But the most obvious are usually those.

  1. The person is afraid that someone sees the chat (Maybe the person is controlled by their parents or something, or just by friends.
  2. Save storage space on the phone. Thus, individual messages are not a memory location killer, but with time this is very sluggish.

I always delete the messages in my messengers on weekends. It’s not as important as an old message in the messenger!

What is important, I have added the week to the corresponding apps: appointments, telephone numbers, contacts, maybe even one or other photo. The rest can go. I don’t want to waste my device.
