why do some helicopters have skids and some have wheels?

I have noticed that there are helicopters that have skids, like most rescue helicopters, and some that have wheels. what are the advantages and disadvantages of skids and wheels? and why is it sometimes decided one way and sometimes the other?

greetings and thanks in advance

if a mature one lands on a slope it goes down quickly. You can push a mature person into the hangar without a platform

With wheels you can land badly on snow 🙂 depends on where you want to land

it’s where the helicopters have to land first…

zb. in the winter in the mountains during snow on the peaks, wheels on the helicopter would be absolutely impractical…

This depends on the field of application. In rescue operations in the mountains, wheels would be impractical.

Why can you tap some ballpoint pens and turn some up?
Small question 🙂
But I appreciate a lifting screw with wheels, it is easier to move around or the like, but perhaps it is also pointless and just another model to save on Wednesday who knows
