On my Hercules Prima 5, cold starting works really well, even without a pull. Sure, it's much smoother when warmed up, but cold starting is just as possible without much power. So what's the point of the cold start pull? I really don't have much power.

It’s a little machine-dependent. Some of them just run shit when they’re cold. Fits with gasifier, displacement, ignition etc. There is a choke for these individual cases. The thing simply conveys more fat mixture into the cylinder, which is then easier to ignite.
