Why can't you place two dice next to each other so that the visible sides opposite each other have the same number?

For example, if I place two dice next to each other at the threes, I see two ones on the top side and two sixes on the bottom. However, the fives and twos don't follow this pattern. Why is that?

Place two cubes next to each other, so that the ones above, the two front and the three are left.

Now turn the right cube by 180°, so its three is left, then its four is right. The One and the Secht keep their places, but the Two is back and the Five Front.

Two dice would have to be mirror inverted. n/a if there's something like that.
