Why can't I connect my camera to OBS?

Hi guys,

I want to use my Canon EOS 2000D as a webcam for my streams. I've tried everything. First, I bought a cheap video capture card, but it didn't work. Then I bought the Elgator HD60 S+, hoping it would work.

I don't know why it doesn't show a picture? So thanks in advance.

The 2000D is not suitable for video anyway, it has no autofocus that follows you. So as soon as you move a little, you’re out of focus and you’re out of focus. And she has no Clean HDMI.

And why you get a capture card, which is actually designed for console games and costs almost more than the camera throws up question marks with me.

Try if the camera works with Canon Webcam Utility via USB:

Then you make a mistake somewhere and you have to find it.

Did you load the right version for your camera down? Did you get the right cable what data can transfer? HDMI capture card can be bought but you don’t have to, I use a PS3 controller charging cable and thus it works perfectly
