it may have changed much due to the whole Firmware updates, you have enabled the Expert Mode because otherwise some features are missing that you can turn on at the beginning depending on the box.

You have probably rented your Fritz!Box from the provider if certain features are not available that are included in the free-to-order version and are described in the manual. The whole is called a “branded” firmware version. In such a version, it is common that the provider determines what you can set.

Probably 1&1 doesn’t want you to unconfigure anything and that the routers are configured as they were configured by the 1&1 engineer and should remain so because your DSL line and otherwise the other DSL lines of the neighbors might interfere.

Did you click on “Settings of Interference Security” which is in blue below?

1&1 does not send the corresponding signal to make these settings in the Fritzbox
