Why are some people so "strict" when it comes to electricity or consumption in general?
I know a family that practically never turns on the lights. They use buckets to flush the toilet because they use "less" water that way, and all that stuff.
They live the same way here in Germany. And I simply wonder how anyone can go to such extremes when it comes to living frugally.
What causes something like this? It's not nice for their kids to grow up like this either.
Thanks for your answers.
I think people want to save water and electricity costs. My grandparents also make it so similar:
Cook the warm water to the teeth in a small kettle so that you don’t waste water.
Hand washing only with ice-cold water.
No more bathing and only cooling for 8 minutes.
…
Why use warm water for brushing your teeth – and cook it extra? Hand washing can also be done with cold water, that’s okay. Don’t bring much if not long enough (20 – 30 Sec), not the right technique and without soap. And for example, I never ever do 8 minutes, not even in winter, although I don’t have targeted water saving and long hair I often wash directly with. Once water comes over, shampoo, shower gel, rinse everything off, hair cure – ok, which takes about 2 min, wash off, springdich. The water certainly does not run more than in the sum of 3-4 minutes, vllt 5. Be sure to look at the clock interessentially;)
Electricity costs are increasingly exploding, but this is still exaggerated.
In toilet flushing, you should save cautiously. Too little water could lead to constipation. The bowl is clean, but the drain pipe is not flushed.
Yeah, well, I can’t discuss with them.
When I said, “it’s half as wild when the light is turned on a minute” the hell started…
You can’t even talk to people without being a state enemy number one.
I don’t understand. I’d like to run water, even if I’m just shaking at it. Also, I’ll let the PC run overnight to download something. I don’t notice the 20 euro a year. Is just like with the 200€ a month – if I get the one I don’t notice.
I’m not really piffy with water now either – but let go though you don’t use it I don’t think okay. Not because of money, but is simply a limited resource and does not have to be.
In our widths sunshine is a limited resource but not water. All the lakes, rivers, almost every day it rains….
There’s more than enough water. This is because you let all the fresh water of the rivers flow into the seas and not used up before. Every liter of freshwater flowing into the sea is lost and wasted.
Even if many like silly whispers that the Rio Grande almost dry out because the farmers take too much water – would it be better if the whole fresh water flows into the sea? No, as long as it’s enough for fish and other flowing waters, you should use what’s going on before it gets lost.
In Bavaria, for example, the groundwater level has recovered only through the many precipitations in the last few months of 2023 from the heat summer 2022 – so that deeper soil layers have also filled with water again. Between 2018 and 2021, the groundwater level has fallen to the lowest level since 1990. Over the past 32 years, the water level has fallen more than has risen – in total, despite punctual flooding etc., does not succeed enough.
In the last 20 years alone, Germany has 15.2 billion tonnes of water lost from its natural water reservoirs, as a study 2023 identified (source: scineexx.de) Sog. Groundwater thirsts became and become more common.
We will probably not have too little water in this country, but no reason to deal with it as if there were more than enough of it.
There are various reasons for this:
I guess the last
Ha ha ha…
So they have money there I am relatively sure.
That’s why I was so surprised.
Well, there are strange people in the world, but I would personally ask why and if they even react strangely to my question, then make a huge ground around them.
Maybe you should turn on the youth office to get the kids out of it
I mean this is no education anymore that is feeling terrifying
Don’t know if I should get involved.
The children seemed relatively normal. Fand these rules but not as great as it seemed
The children are probably normal because they don’t know it differently at the moment.
you don’t have to let them get out directly, you can also hold a conversation as a start and if the situation doesn’t better grasp harder methods
Other people live differently from oneself.
This applies to households as well as to countries.
If they want to live like hunger sufferers, what is it?
is normal as it was in 1850.
They think they’re saving the world with it, but they don’t help, if not all of them, it’s just useless as if you were trying to pust a house.
It just doesn’t do anything.
they stop climate change.
Hahaha! He was good!
Think at least
you can’t stop it.
is something normal/natural
But they still have a car.
Something weird. But thanks. If that’s the reason you have to take this thema seriously if you live like that.
the alternative would be that they are poor.
You can’t even say that’s excessive bullshit.
Thank you. I don’t want to live like that. ^^
from an empire you learn to save.
they are not poor. They have quite a lot of money as far as I know. That’s funny.
They’re smart as they save.
This is no longer saving
Of course, saving is.
no but this behavior of those is simply exaggerated
I mean who still understood lives voluntarily so that after two weeks he feels only skin and bone is
Oha – you are.
No longer this is just excessive bullshit
