Hello everyone, I'm currently studying physics in Vienna (I started here), at the end of my first semester, but I have a German Abitur (high school diploma). I've realized that I don't like the university and life here, so I'm considering transferring back to Aachen, Germany. Does anyone here have experience with transferring universities within…
I have about five months left until I finish my retail sales training, but I want to work in an office afterward. Can I start an office job with this training without starting another apprenticeship?
I have a question about full-time and dual studies. Is it possible to switch from full-time to dual studies, even if you've already completed a semester and decide to do the dual study program? Of course, it's very time-consuming, and of course, it's better to focus on one thing, but my gut feeling tells me…

Hello everyone, I'm feeling pretty sad and desperate these days because I can't find a new job. I'm about to finish my part-time business studies, work full-time as a sales assistant, and have also completed training as an industrial clerk. I'm 23 years old and female. My applications have been reviewed thousands of times and…
Hey, I'd like to study software engineering. Unfortunately, my university doesn't offer this. I can study computer science at university…will this help me become a software engineer? Does that mean I can work in that field with just a bachelor's degree? Best regards
That's not something you can say in general. Someone who only has an IT qualification can become a great engineer.
It's a matter of understanding how to sharpen your perspective on things and how to put it into practice. The company you work on which projects in is a crucial factor.
Can an IT specialist also become a software engineer? They lack specialized knowledge and mathematical foundations.
You can only earn the engineer title through university, but with hard work and perseverance, you can also work your way up within companies and take on the same tasks. Companies often use "engineer" as a job description. Add one or two certificates to that, and you'll be barely distinguishable from a graduate in the job market.
Therefore, I believe that the degree programs you listed will hardly differ in practice. The one who does more to be good and has the better working environment will fare better.
Yes, I speak from experience. I would definitely recommend every young person to study if they want to pursue engineering. Success is simply much closer.
I had decided to pursue an apprenticeship for social reasons and had to spend many years doing jobs that I didn't want to do.
However, I managed to get promoted within a company and now I always write Engineer on my CV and I actually get new offers in the engineering field without any problems.
