Whiskey für Anfänger?

Hallo!

Whiskey or whisky? Because yes, that makes a difference. Whether with e or without is different from country of origin to country of origin.

What I like to recommend are Whisk(e)y advent calendar. These are then 24 samples each with 20ml (i.e. one portion). You can’t try more cheaply through Whisk(e)ys. Just now, you should get the remaining items of Christmas much cheaper. I always buy mine from Vita Dulcis.

I don’t know.

Then it would be recommended to inform yourself first so that you know what you’re looking for. Whisk(e)ys are extremely different depending on land and production. An American bourbon matured in the burned white oak barrel has nothing to do with a Scottish Islay-Whisky matured in the sherry barrel, there are worlds in between.

So if the entry has not yet been made, I would recommend simple single malts. In my opinion, great beginners are: Ardmore Legacy, very inexpensive (about 25 €), rather peaty-smoky, you get almost everywhere. In the price situation almost lonely, for many worthwhile beginners you should plan around 40 €. Here Glenrothes fits 12 years as a very round full single malt with continuous sherry barrel storage (even Geldronach 12 years would be alternative). Butfeldy as a sung, honey-sweet 12-year-old. Very smoky single malts are actually nothing for entry, but Caol Ila 12 years is still quite leisurely. Johnny Walker Green Label is my blend recommendation, 15 years after. Connemara would be my Ireland recommendation, very inexpensive. American, it’s Woodford Reserve.

With a “Markers Mark” (Burbon) for the beginning you do nothing wrong. Otherwise just ask for “Whisky Tasting”. 🙂

Probiersets are suitable for this. But also Tastings can offer a good start here. Some shops like “Vom Fass” or well-sorted tobacco goods shops also offer this.

If there’s something that shouldn’t be close to you, maybe look for online offers.

Otherwise just buy some of the small bottles and try it yourself. Literature can also be helpful.

I personally don’t find probiersets so good, I would use one or two single bottles.

What do you want to spend?

So in principle, you do nothing wrong with a single malt, with a bourbon but also not. Just don’t ask Jack Daniels or Johnny Walker.
I drank whisky from 0€ – 300+€, and can tell you that you don’t notice a real difference, at least not as a “beginner”, so you’re very good at 50€.
For example, I find the Balvenie DoubleWood 12 very good, which is 48€.
If it is to be cheaper, then a Glenfiddich, for example, is 15 years, which is 43€. I like both very much and not too “torfig” that scares many of them first.
Oh, and the Singleton 12 years I like to, it costs about 23€.
I hope I could help you.

Look at Jochen Schweizer. There’s whisky touching, etc.

good whiskey is already a bit expensive; maybe go to a good pub and taste there;

in Scottish whisky I can only recommend single malt ( Balvenie Double wood 12 years ) at tennessee whiskey ( Jack Daniels old No. (7)
