Which vegetables are suitable for fondue with fat?

Hello everyone,

Tonight we're having fondue with fat. I'd like to serve not just meat, but also vegetables. Which vegetables are suitable for fondue without requiring any prep work (like pickling)?

Hey,

according to my experience, no vegetables are suitable to keep it right in, as it dehydrates the fat and thus finds the fondue evening a premature end.

Very good experiences I have made to offer a bowl with tempura dough, there is to buy in every well-stocked supermarket as a finished powder for mixing, just spark the vegetables into the liquid dough and then into the fat. It tastes fantastic and the fondue fat is not diluted.

A type of liquid late-zlet vinegar or beef vinegar also works.

My experience is particularly suitable for this:

– Champignons

– Brokkoli

– Onion

But surely you can become even more creative.

Also very good are gnocchi and the small soup soups (vegetarian vegetable soups or classic).

So all things that only dough but no vegetables have direct contact with the fat.
