Which troops can I choose in FWD?
Hello, I am interested in doing voluntary military service and have already made an appointment for an interview.
Since I assume that I will be asked in advance which direction I would like to go, I am now asking myself which troops I am allowed to choose.
So, can I specify any unit of the Bundeswehr? Whether it's armored personnel, mountain infantry, paratroopers, etc., or are there separate categories for the FWD?
I also wanted to ask if there are different requirements depending on the troop (height, weight, etc.) or if there are only the general requirements (age, school years, etc.)?
Feel free to share your own experiences with voluntary military service with me, from the consultation to the CAT test to the completion of the training. I would be very interested to hear about that.

You can't choose anything. A FWDler is quickly gone again, because it is not worth investing too much training in you.
Parachute hunters are such a use that is not accessible to you. Probably not mountain hunters.
For the various careers, only the school degree is decisive. But for the FWD, there's only the team runway.

There are a variety of different "groups". Army, Air Force, Navy. And since many different uses. That would blow the frame here. Let the professionals advise you.
