Which trains am I not allowed to use with the 9-euro ticket?

Local transport, yes, I understand that, but somehow that doesn't mean all local transport, said a railway spokesman. I'm confused. I think that was the goal anyway. They've achieved it.

I think their goal is to catch fare dodgers during the three months.

This is an inflated discussion about a few ICs, which are at the same time traffic-related, in which usually also local tickets (often in the network) do not apply. These are special cases with which the fewest people have touch points.

You can drive with all normal RE, RB, S-Bahn, IRE, trams, subways and buses and in some places also with ferries/ships. Just not with DB long distance trains, ie those that are white painted with red line, and also not with FlixTrain, quite simply.

I believe their goal is to fish "black riders" in the 3 months

Bullshit.

but somehow not all traffic is the same

On the one hand, Deutsche Bahn has trains operated by DB Regio, on the other hand by DB Fernverkehr. The regional trains of DB Regio can be used with the 9-Euro ticket. The regional trains of DB Fernverkehr, which are also available, however, not. Normal local ticket is valid here, but not the 9-Euro ticket. But it is only small to read in the information about the trains – if you fold this information out in the web app. There is no way to get these trains displayed when searching, the Deutsche Bahn admits.

"9-Euro ticket not valid" is the schedule for the RE 27 from Berlin to Elsterwerda. This train is one of many examples. For example, the MDR reports that in Thuringia Intercitys between Erfurt and Gera as well as in Saxony, it was 12 years old. June is an intercity of the Chemnitz – Dresden – Warnemünde line, which is excluded from the 9-Euro ticket. The problem: these trains have, in addition to the IC number, the number of a regional press (RE) and are therefore marked as trains of regional transport.

On the other hand, for example, there is a special agreement for the Gäubahn towards Lake Constance: The 9-Euro ticket is also valid in the Intercity trains.

You can't use ICE and IC.

RE/RB/Schwebebahn/Sbahn/normal buses/normal ferries, on the other hand, you may use
