Which tax bracket makes more sense for marriage? And why?

Woman's salary: €36,000

Husband's salary: 38,500

Where can you save the most? And end up paying nothing?

Tax class 4 with factor if it is to be "improving".

Does the combination make 3/5 sense?

If the monthly savings considered year is greater than the annual refund in tax class 4 the combination does not make any sense, because it will come to repayments.

When does 3/5 make sense?

  • If only one of the two spouses has a job and there is no obligation to pay.
  • If the refund in 4/4 is so high, it is not completely consumed by the monthly "savings".

I don't have more reasons for the tax class combination. Due to the obligation to pay if there is an employment relationship, many quickly increase the repayments, which usually hurt so well.

In addition, it may seem useful for the individual to choose the tax class combination to have more in the month, but this is again a shortcoming, since at the end the obligation to declare and tax class 3 can quickly lead to very sensitive repayments. In the end, the tax class does not say anything about the tax burden, because it is only determined by the tax incentive.

After payments, which then usually hurt so properly.

However, in times of daily money interest, more than 3% can make sense. At least as long as the FA does not require advance payments.

The least would do that

Wrong question. You get too much paid pay tax back with the tax return.

The person(s) is to take class 3 which is likely to receive payroll benefits (especially pregnant or unemployed) depending on the "fictitious net".

You don't save anything.

With you, 4/4 would offer, with the slight difference, even 4 with a factor does not necessarily make sense.
