Which TAE socket for the DSL connection?

Hi, I've had a 100 Mbps DSL contract for a year now. The technician connected me to the access point in the basement last year. Everything works, but I also have a telephone jack in the hallway. Until now, I've connected my router to the telephone jack in the living room. Now I'd like to connect the router to the first telephone jack in the hallway. Is that possible? It's an apartment building with a total of 18 units in the same building. My apartment has one room, and the connection is from 1&1.

Could there be any consequences (security-wise) if I continue to be connected to the second outlet? My neighbor recently told me that the appliance has supposedly been on the 5th floor for two years, but last year the technician connected me to the appliance in the basement.

Best regards and Merry Christmas

Now I would like to connect the router to the first TAE in the hallway. Is that so easy?

If the two TAE are actually connected one after the other, it works naturally

It is a multi-family house with a total of 18 parties in the house number,

Your connection has nothing to do with neighbors

my apartment consists of a room and

Yeah and, what does that have to do with the question?

the connection is from the 1und1.

Your internal cabling is also independent of the provider. You are all alone and responsible

The provider is only responsible until the 1st DOSE (the transfer point)

Can there be any consequences (security) if I remain connected to the second can?

Why consequences?

My neighbor told me that the APL was supposed to be sitting on the 5th floor for 2 years, but last year the technician connected me to the APL in the basement.

APL in 5. Stock makes less sense

Unless there are several

You will of course be connected to the nearest

Is suspected

Previously, the TAE doses were for the analog phone.

When you put a phone in the first jack, everything was shut down behind it. When the phone was widened to the next can one could call from there.

Can you capture zb signals via the TAE connection?

Depends on what you mean

I wonder if it is possible to intercept my incoming and outgoing signals through a connection at the tae when the second TAE can actually belongs to my neighbour by rebuilding work.

Why would the two DOSE suddenly go to your neighbor?

Dad wouldn’t make any sense

Or I don’t need to worry about it, and I’m gonna let everything go.

The hallway and living room are your apartment – or?

Why do you want to change something?

Do not understand your problem
