Star, Habicht, Schwalbe, S50, S51 and SR50 have a maximum design speed of 60km/h.

And only until February 1992.

All the other Simsons fall out. Spatz and earlier are technically not so far mature. SL1 is 25km/h Mofa for the west. Duo is too heavy, Sperber and S70 too fast and after the turn were soon western 45km/h rules

You forget the sperber. He drives 75, but needs an A1 appearance and big license plate

Vehicles for driving class 4, M, AM

Simsons according to the GDR Regulation until 29.2.1992 (was a leap year) can still drive 60 km/h today, also with a straight-made moped driver license for 45 km/h scooter/moped ́s etc. Class AM is the latest. After the reunification, the Federal Republic of Germany once again moved to 50 km/h.

Similar to scooters and mopedes that were put into operation before 1.1.2002. These smells are still 50 km/h, from 2002, the EU was then widely standardized to 45 km/h.
So you can also buy old two-stroke scooters and drive faster (sometimes clearly) than today’s 45 km/h. A 90’s yogurt cup (plastic roller) is much cheaper than a Simson.

So my Spatz BJ 79 and my SR1 BJ 88 both ran well 60 with the 53ccm engine. Okay, the SR2 worked hard. Of course, this applies almost exclusively to years of construction before turning.
