Which proxy works?
Hi…
Not so long ago it was quite easy to install an add-on in FF, e.g. ProxyFoxy, and use it.
I've tried a handful of extensions, but none of them really work.
Is there an add-on for FF that allows me to easily change my IP?
If so, a short guide would also be helpful.
As I said, not too long ago I entered the foreign server into ProxyFoxy and the IP was changed accordingly. Today, I only get error messages or am forced into a paid model by some providers whose add-ons are supposedly free. Suddenly, no one can remember what it's like to be free anymore.
I want to bypass geoblocking.
The background is that I would like to order flight tickets to the USA and they are considerably cheaper there than if I buy them here.
Even buying a DAW, it's just a matter of the key, is probably considerably cheaper there than here.
It is no secret that people would like to take the last shirt off us Germans.
I look forward to your support
Foxy Proxy works easily.
But you need to enter a valid proxy.
a proxy server that worked years ago is now presumably offline or reasonably configured. The servers from the proxylists are incorrectly configured and can therefore be used for such things. As soon as the admin notices this, he will correct it and that will not work for you anymore. Then you just have to try until you find one that still works.
Thank you for your advice.
I downloaded a list here.

Do you have a different source?
Whether the proxy there is up to date is in the stars. Apparently current, but none of the specified sparks.
If I open ProxyFoxy, I’m going to ask for a title. Then by type : HTTP. I’ll give in to USA. I don’t give up City. Color I leave the default setting. Host I give 162.208.49.45 a. Port 7808. I leave the username and password open as I have neither one nor the other. Then I press on save and ask for my IP and always get the German, no matter what proxy I enter at ProxyFoxy.
You need anonymous proxy servers. Otherwise, the proxyserver will set an http header where your Ip address is located. Each web server can read it.
use a VPN.
Get a VPN, exemplarily from Proton. There are free servers.
Alternatively, look at vpngate.net. These are also VPN servers that are free.
