Which programming language should I choose for my career as a career changer?

Hello,

The question here is explicitly directed at programmers who ideally already have a job.

I wanted to ask which programming language is good for career changers to get started in their professional life.

I now know some Python and SQL.

There are YouTubers or websites that promise you that you can find a job in just a few months by taking their course, for a fee of course.

But I want to do it on my own, so my question is:

Which programming language is best suited for getting a job in a short amount of time? Of course, you won't have all the know-how in such a short period of time, but you should continue to develop your skills on the job. Of course, I know I won't be paid much.

And which programming language should you start with for which career (e.g. with SQL you can become a data analyst). So what can you recommend?

And do you know any good books or YT channels?

And what kind of experience did you have in your first job? What was the first programming language you applied for, and what was it like when you first started learning and on your first day on the job as a programmer? Do you have any tips for me?

Finally: Please refrain from making unnecessary comments. I know it's time-consuming, but I want to get my point across. I'm not a script kid either; I really want to learn. I'm happy to respond to your comments.

There are YouTubers or websites that promise you to find a job in a few months in their course, of course against payment.

But I want to create it independently, so my question:

I’d like youtubern to make that promise. That sounds like Scam.

Which programming language is well suited to work in a short time. Of course, you will not know the whole know-how during this short period, but you should develop in the job. Of course I don’t know I’m gonna get much money.

Look what you’re looking for in the opposite. “Junior softwarentwickler language name” or something.

Personally, I would then make an official course or apply directly without prior knowledge as a cross-comer.

2 reasons:

  • You can’t prove Yotube videos, etc., so if it’s about applying the language you need anything you can do, e.g.
  • If you go to the AG without knowing what you are doing, you will learn the necessary and give “x years of programming in the language name of AG-Name” in the CV at the next AG.

I know someone who is currently undergoing retraining as a “manufacturer – discipline: application development”, and I was somewhat surprised when I heard that they use “Python” as a programming language.

If you’re ready to do something like Cobol, you’ll find something more because nobody wants to do that.

With something like TS, C# and Java, I think you’re competing with studying and training.

And what have you had for experiences in the first job, what was the first programming language with which you applied and how was the beginning when you had learned and the first day as a programmer in the job?Do you have any tips on me?

I had mainly applied with knowledge in Java and Python, and then did in job C#.
