Which photo app for Android with many setting options?
Hello everyone,
I'd like to start photography as a hobby. However, I don't want to buy a camera right away; I'd rather start with my smartphone. I think smartphone cameras these days are very good and ideal for beginners like me. I think…
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9, but the standard photo app is somewhat limited. Even the "Pro" mode doesn't let me adjust everything. For example, I can't adjust the exposure time. Do you have or know of a photo app where you can adjust pretty much everything like you would with a standard camera?
kind regards
I disagree.
Not the technique, not the settings make it, but first of all the person behind the camera.
And no smartphone (as far as I know) offers the possibility to set the screen, for example, which is a very significant factor for image design, perhaps even more important than the exposure time.
So first create images, develop the right look, not so much attention to the technology. You will be happy to leave and stay in the settings, while the motifs will be second.
Of course, only my personal, inestimable opinion. Even I photographed both with the smartphone and with a small Sony DSC RX 100-VII ("always camera" with amazing quality) and with a Sony Alpha 7 IV for a short time.
Thank you. I'm staying with my smartphone for the first time, as I can do quite a bit with a "normal" camera.
Good plan, most smartphones also make pictures that are good enough.
A good app is Proshot, since all settings can be selected completely manually, even the Jpeg compression can be selected or you can photograph pictures as RAW. These are the pure sensor data without software improvements.
Thank you.
That's a great idea! Yes, with your smartphone you can definitely acquire the basics of photography. Manual mode makes the same as a camera and you see the effect of aperture, exposure, ISO etc. Grab videos on YouTube and learn the theoretical foundations. You can still buy a "right" camera.
Thank you, I'm not greedy or anything but buying a camera at first would be too expensive if I look at the prices. :
Completely correct decision. If the virus grabs you (I hope Corona is long enough back for this phrase), then get one.
For the approach of starting with the smartphone, you have already been praised by some, very right.
I would like to bring Adobe Lightroom and the camera installed there into play. I use the Lightroom camera next to the original, camera software of my phone. And of course next to my physical cameras.
However, a foreign software can sometimes not exploit the full potential of the cameras installed in the smartphone. The cell phone maker sometimes gets a little more out.
Thank you. I didn't even know there was Lightroom as an app.
