Which of these organs is not part of the immune system?
Hello, I'm having trouble distinguishing which organs don't belong to the immune system, since I don't really think any of them are. In principle, all of them belong to the immune system:
a) Spleen
b)Adenoids
c)Thymus gland
d)Lymph nodes
e)White bone marrow
thanks in advance
Of these, it’s the white bone marrow. If there had been red bone marrow, all the organs mentioned would be part of the immune system because the red bone marrow is the place of formation of the blood cells, i.e. also the leukos. Red bone marrow is located only in the bones (ribs, pelvic bones) and the growth zones (epiphyses). The tube bones, such as thighs, contain the white bone marrow, which is made of fatty tissue and has mainly storage function. If you buy a leg pane for soup cooking or awning, the white bone marrow is the galley part inside.
I’d say white bone marrow. This can’t produce blood-forming cells anymore and just exists without doing anything…
I didn’t know. Thank you. In a biobook from school there was that it somehow forms blood and accordingly I am somewhat confused about the task
What I’m asking, why is it white bone marrow that should be yellow bone marrow? The red bone marrow practically makes the formation of blood
