Which iPhone is worth upgrading to?

I currently have an iPhone 12. It once fell into water, and after soaking it in rice for a while, it worked fine again. Unfortunately, I can't get the water out of the cameras, and I assume there's still water in the phone as well.

Cleaning it would cost just as much as simply selling the phone. So I don't see the point.

Given that I only own Apple devices, I'd also like to buy an iPhone again. I've heard that it's not necessarily worth getting the iPhone 14. Since the iPhone 16 is too expensive for me, I was wondering if an iPhone 15 would be a good option?

I use it primarily for social media and occasionally for photos and videos. But not for everyday use.
What do you recommend?
