Which illegal drugs, if they were legal, would not increase the risk of death from them?

I just happened to see the ARD program "Alcohol – The Global Intoxication" which ended with the statement that 3 million people worldwide die every year as a result of alcohol consumption, which is more than all the victims of crime, traffic accidents and illegal drugs combined.

So my question is, which alternative drugs, including illegal drugs, increase the risk of death less than alcohol, while having a similarly intense happiness-inducing effect?

And another question: Why are there always people who have a problem with the socially tolerated drug alcohol being equated with other illegal drugs? This question was also addressed in the ARD program, and a toxicologist's response was that it's not scientists who make drug classifications, but politicians.

Addition: I also drink alcohol occasionally, but sometimes I don't drink anything for weeks or months.

Lsd, Cannabis, Mushrooms, DMT are all not fatal or you can’t overdose them that you die or bear dangerous physical damage. Psyche is just something else that can damage depending on the person

Marijuana/Gras, for example:

Cigarettes/bak is legal, but is the content grass, is it suddenly illegal?

Nobody knows why, everyone just tells them, that’s always the case.

You can say, in fact, that…

  • grass is about as fatal as tobacco,
  • but fewer people kill than alcohol;

Therefore, a ban on alcohol would be more sensible than a ban on grass…

So the effect and benefits of these things (especially LSD and mushrooms) are really unbeatable compared to the potential for damage.
