Which horse should I choose?

Heyyy^^

I desperately need your help. My parents have finally allowed me to have my own horse. I'm a girl who rides show jumping, dressage, and western. I've been riding for five years. I want to do show jumping and dressage with my horse. But also have plenty of free time. Please help me! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

LG Luna♡

PS: Thanks to everyone who helps me!♡ And I know that ultimately I have to decide, since I'm the one riding the horse. And I also know that not all of these breeds are suitable for jumping and dressage. But there are exceptions, and most of all, I want to take my horse out for walks and just spend time with him.

This is the 4-year-old South German Coldblood mare Rose. She stands at 165 cm.

This is the 4-year-old warmblood mare Ladka. She stands at 156 cm.

This is the 10-year-old Friesian mare Queen. She stands at 167 cm.

This is the 2-year-old Andalusian stallion Rain. He currently stands 150 cm tall.

This is the 5-year-old gelding Henri. He stands 167 cm tall.

This is the 9 year old pre-mare Alva.

Except for the Friesen and the PRE, everyone is too young for someone who only rides 5 years. In my opinion, both of them are not for jumping. Not the cold blood or the Andalusian. He’s too young with his two years anyway. At 4 or 5 years, you’re probably not finished, so none is suitable for it.

You ride jumping, dressage AND Western??? I can’t believe that. Well, actually, but you can’t call it riding. Experienced jumper you are not after 5 years. I started jumping after 3 years when I started riding and after 2 years I didn’t know.

What were your selection criteria? How do you get from jumping on a cold blood or a 2-year-old horse? In my opinion, you’re not yet advised, please look for an RB or something like that.

Yeah, you can read it out.

So, in my opinion, these horses are all too young (up to horse number 3). Horses only have a pronounced back muscle at 5 years. And with two years, horses should not be ridden. With four years old horses you can start longing slowly.

PS.: No guarantee that everything I said is true. My sister is a horse fanatic and always tells me everything possible about horses. But maybe I didn’t listen to her. So:No GARANTIE!!

I don’t think the two-year-old will be ridden. So I hope… Horse 3 is a friese that are not suitable for riding but rather zjm. I don’t think they’re jumping. Surely there are exceptions. No accusation! I just want to put it right.

Okay, thanks. As I said, I know all this from my sister. I do not ride

You will certainly not decide for a horse, but your parents will do that for you. And they certainly do not decide because of an online vote on the Internet.

When will you girls finally understand that no person who has only the touch of an idea of horses would choose a horse?

An adult rider would most likely be advised by his trainer without letting him vote beforehand on any pictures on the Internet, because he is aware that the horse must fit him. Although pure numbers such as size and age play a role, one does not decide whether to buy this or that horse.

And with a youthful rider, especially if his parents even have a riding stable, what the parents think best is bought. Even without an Internet vote.

And you will hardly believe anyone who buys a horse will buy it because he wants to spend more time than in a riding school or as a RB with (s) a horse (and by chance has the money for his own horse). Most riders also go out riding or at least have fun to improve their own riding through lessons or go one or other tournament. But no one who really understands what of horses will choose his horse in which he can vote on a list of potential horses (after what criterion did you choose them) – also the supplement “of course I have to decide” cannot conceal the true motivation behind your question. I already know that you probably like to float into some dream worlds at your age and imagine horse shopping, but it would be nice if a touch of reality would come to you and you would just ask the question as it is “real” meant “What horse you like better”. Then you don’t need to be insulted if adult, long-term horse owners give you answers that you don’t want to hear…

If then horse number 5. The others are not suitable for jumping. But the mare Ladka is only suitable for leisure. That’s what Mr. Winkel will have told you on the phone. In addition, Mr Winkel has no jumping horses but horses for the leisure area.

Mr. Winkel will have certainly advised you or not?

I hope you have permission to stop the picture of his mare? My mom likes to ask him. Even if his horses do not fit into our portfolio and would never buy a horse with him, they have known him for ever.

In my experience, cold-blooded, friezes and Spaniards are not suitable for jumping. Maximum a tree trunk in the terrain (appears on the horse) but definitely not the appropriate breeds in the course. Otherwise, I do not know the level of training from you or that of the horses. That’s why I don’t vote for any of the horses, because that doesn’t make sense because of the missing information.

Talk to your RL and ask for what a horse is in question for you and start looking specifically.

So, after you have cleared my first answer, I’m just writing out pure niceness again.

Certainly, there are some naive little girls who get starlets in their eyes when they see your dream horse selection and who just want to believe that what you write corresponds to the facts.

However, every experienced rider knows immediately that it is certainly your most eager desire to have a horse of his own, to have parents who have their own farm and then to be able to shine even in jumping – but it is immediately clear that nothing corresponds to reality. A jumper does not want cold blood, no Andalusian, no hair, no haflinger and usually no dressage horse. A rider who burns for jumping wants a jumping horse – most preferably an experienced one with which he can start immediately and collect loops. And if mum and dad have a stable and the child has been trained for years for jumping, then at least 2 of the experienced and really good jumping horses have long been in the stable. And if a new one is to be purchased, no horse selection with stolen images of anonymous people will be offered to choose from, but will be selected together with parents and trainers and then tried out with you.

That’s a fake question again! No one who has to do with horses from home asks such a question! You lie! You’re stealing images from the net and what your intention is, except that you’re annoyed when you read something like that, I don’t know.

The circus is in town again.

For what you do, half of the horses are more than extraordinary. Means you can ride significantly better than 99% of average riders!

Others fall out for racial image and age!

This is the 5 years old Wallach Henri. He’s got a stockmass of 167.

He could be something! But is probably not suitable for you from age or requires plenty to be able to maintain!

If your parents have a farm, it will probably run with you as much as 95% of the farms.

  • You ride what’s there.
  • As a rule, the kids have little right to speak.
  • From a level decides that the trainer with the parents and the child can only say yes or stop riding.

I’m a girl running jumping, dressage and Western. I

sorry but there is no eager woolmillsau – also not with horses… A Western horse usually has a Western saddle. You can’t jump with that. also an English dressage will become difficult with this.

Besides, I kind of don’t believe your story with your own horse.
The horses are totally different breeds, probably have a totally different price class and are also totally different from suitability. You don’t even seem to know what you want – so if (the story is right), your parents should decide. They pay for the fun

I have a PRE myself and it’s great 🙂 Alternatively, I find the 3rd great!

But PRE is of course not suitable for jumping

Punkgirl512

It wasn’t different, was it?

First, picture claw is forbidden. This can be really expensive for your parents.

Secondly, cold blossoms and PRE come out if you want to jump.

Thirdly, all horses are much too young for you

Fourthly, you should talk to your trainer.

Bissl nicer it is ABER actually you’re right I also have a PRE and much higher than Cavalettis don’t go that are pacious dressage horses…

well, I knew a Cartujanohengst who was trained up to M (Springen). And in the dressage to Intermediaire.
Now apart from the Kalti, ALL healthy horses E or A can go. Should they be able to (if they are well trained, understand themselves).

Oh, with a child, what likes such lies is not nicer. Especially since there are no insults or something. It’s just pranking.

Of course she did. Or what is the question above? So these are quite clear pictures – without any source indication and without permission re-published.

And you know how?

These are at least the pictures from the sales displays – so stolen. Especially since there are still some strange persons on it.

Punkgirl512

I’m not unfriendly either. I’m just wondering what you know. You seem so sure – but you also sound pictures and give them as your own.

Adela1498

I’m saying that nice so I don’t want to start a fight here, okay?

So it can be that the owners have allowed this (which is actually rather unpredictable).

I thought, Rose, and then I was totally in Alva and Rain.

You’re making it hard for you, too.

You just wrote that about the look. Sure, they’re very pretty, but both aren’t suitable for jumping.

Hasenbossdame

Yes but it was also the question I would choose

Dahika

I wouldn’t take any of the horses. I. But if I had to, then the PRE Stute. I wouldn’t want to have a cold or a frieze. Kaltis are not my type of horse and my riding capacity is not enough for friesen.

ChampagneLady

None of them. They’re all too young for you.

You’ve been riding for five years. And yes, it’s first and not already.

The first horse should always be at least 12 years old, especially in children. And with a child with not much experience.

Do you still have lessons? Of course, it’s a must if you should get your own.
After five years, you can’t be much more likely, the horse would have to be ridden again and again by a ready or rl to keep it healthy.

Don’t change it.

Besides, you seem to have very little idea.
You want to jump? And that with a hair or South German cold blood?
You are aware that these breeds are not suitable for jumping?
Apparently not.

Better take a few more years of teaching until you have at least some idea of the subject and then you can think about it again.

If your parents have their own stables, they should know at least that.
