First to the vet! You get a spot-on or stenpoo and a spray for the environment.
In addition, you can bathe the cat with dishwashing agent or spray it with a detergent/water solution and comb the mixture into the skin. According to my TA, this is to kill the fleas / make it incapable of movement. Then comb out the fleas and dispose.
