Which first car with a low budget?
Hey, I'm currently getting my driver's license and am already looking for an affordable car for €2,000 or less. It should also have low insurance costs and low taxes. Standard models like the VW Polo, Up, or Golf are out of the question for me, as I'm looking for something different than the typical beginner's car.
My default answer:
Look for an unloved reindeer car for the boys, they are only old but usually well maintained and designed for long running performance in the middle class/upper class range. Since these vehicles are rarely involved in serious accidents, insurance is relatively favourable.
Especially today in a regional newspaper A class Mercedes 22 years old TÜV 06/26 pensioner vehicle with 82,000 km for 3500€
…and cheaper ones are always there.
With me nearby, never give a shit.. except last old twingo or a Toyota Aygo
Depends on how you are looking! Dealers have to give you 1 year warranty and that on a 2k car they have no interest. Look for private sales also in the free regional (adult) leaves and classifieds.de.
Let the last TÜV report show you and how long the vehicle was owned by the seller. Without report…and bye! Less than five years at Grandpa….and bye.
Take the fat cattle, you learn to appreciate it quickly and better ride with it!
One of our daughters was afraid of Ford Mondeo, three weeks later the fear was gone and the friends were thrilled with the space. Since then she only wants big cars and combination cars
What models can you look for? I've been thinking more than a beginner about ne shitbox small cars, and about no fat cattle
I can only recommend Mazda 2. We're here an area where just Mazda are going and they're running. My sister of her is now 21 years, and no great repair this day, and the friend is 18 years, and runs. But all are taken 2X a year in the car house under the magnifying glass, during tire change and storage.
Look for Asian small cars from the end 90s/early 2000s. Daihatsu Cuore, Suzuki Swift, Nissan Micra get for the money.
Have an old Nissan Micra K11 for 1.5 VB with 54ps from 1999 with 63,000km, which also costs around 1.3ka year
That's perfectly normal as a beginner.
Yes Rust you see and a clutch you can test
Here with 68,000km only heard more often that there are still problems with rust etc. and also clutch
Very reliable if you keep an eye on regular oil change and the toothed belt. Consumption under 5L
This is also completely okay, the other vehicles are just as expensive as that are suggested here from 1.6 to 2.3ka year in insurance.
Audi 80
Mercedes 190
Volvo V70
These are (still) cheap cars that are also solid and each has a certain style. Spare parts are available in masses and any backyard workshop can repair them without any problems.
For my budget, there is only one Audi 80 near me for 700€ where a lot is broken and with 255,000km
e.g. Crossbars, brakes back. etc.
All 3 cars are now classics, I think so cheap are not 😂
Man, so much coal I didn't even have for my first 😂😂😂
Here are some suggestions:
Astra G, Corsa C/D
Ford: Fiesta 02, Escort
Toyota: Corolla E11/E12
Skoda: Fabia 1, Octavia 1/2
Renault: Twingo, Clio, Megane
First car should be cheap and not place much value on optics. If you want to save in insurance, then cars with little horsepower and try to avoid German brands (VW, Audi, BMW, Mercedes)
Thank you. A Renault Twingo with 50hp would I pay in insurance 1.3ka year one with 75hp 1.6ka year that is violent..
How about the parents insure the car? Maybe they have some SF left?
Otherwise, the SF also rises annually (as long as you do not build an accident) and SF1 is doing well.
And as I said, I also find myself satisfied with the compromise not to drive the chicest or most modern car, main thing a reliable thing that takes me from A to B, a Twingo or a Citroen C1 from 2009 will think that I do
I know, I still think it's safer that I let it run on me. Parents aren't thrilled about getting a driving license
Who says you're going to build an accident, and yes it's just when you built an accident then the SF goes down again and you pay more for the insurance.
Better you're doing this about your parents and paying less…
My parents don't want this for the reason if I'm supposed to build an accident then I'm going to pay the contribution they pay more on it, and on such a bad I don't want to, so directly on me. I think it's just going to be a Twingo 1.2 with 58ps.
Enter your keiteries at mobile.de and see what's coming out.
At €2,000 you can't expect miracles, there are usually only cucumbers.
That's what I do. Those who are also expensive in insurance, like a Fiat Grande Punto with 1.7ka year insurance, what models can I look for? Nen Twingo was costing insurance only 1.2ka year. And call Chevrolet Spark only 1.3ka year
For two giants you don't have much choice.
Maybe any dealer has a sworn Opel Corsa without a HU record.
Ahhh, especially at Opel I am also very cautious, since I am small, with Opel cars driven by my grandpa/mother and I can't see it anymore, and the Opel Corsa is also such a typical starter car. Which probably also makes insurance expensive..
or a 99 Vectra or Omega that still runs 80,000km without problems for the same money.
Also these don't give it anywhere, anything from over 200,000km
With a bigger middle-class car, that's not a problem….
What do you think you have at €2,000?
Remember that you need at first about €1000 for liability insurance
Exactly, so a budget with 2,000€ the car should take me from A to B
