Which first car with a low budget?

Hey, I'm currently getting my driver's license and am already looking for an affordable car for €2,000 or less. It should also have low insurance costs and low taxes. Standard models like the VW Polo, Up, or Golf are out of the question for me, as I'm looking for something different than the typical beginner's car.

My default answer:

Look for an unloved reindeer car for the boys, they are only old but usually well maintained and designed for long running performance in the middle class/upper class range. Since these vehicles are rarely involved in serious accidents, insurance is relatively favourable.

Especially today in a regional newspaper A class Mercedes 22 years old TÜV 06/26 pensioner vehicle with 82,000 km for 3500€

…and cheaper ones are always there.

Depends on how you are looking! Dealers have to give you 1 year warranty and that on a 2k car they have no interest. Look for private sales also in the free regional (adult) leaves and classifieds.de.

Let the last TÜV report show you and how long the vehicle was owned by the seller. Without report…and bye! Less than five years at Grandpa….and bye.

Take the fat cattle, you learn to appreciate it quickly and better ride with it!

One of our daughters was afraid of Ford Mondeo, three weeks later the fear was gone and the friends were thrilled with the space. Since then she only wants big cars and combination cars

I can only recommend Mazda 2. We're here an area where just Mazda are going and they're running. My sister of her is now 21 years, and no great repair this day, and the friend is 18 years, and runs. But all are taken 2X a year in the car house under the magnifying glass, during tire change and storage.

Look for Asian small cars from the end 90s/early 2000s. Daihatsu Cuore, Suzuki Swift, Nissan Micra get for the money.

That's perfectly normal as a beginner.

Yes Rust you see and a clutch you can test

Very reliable if you keep an eye on regular oil change and the toothed belt. Consumption under 5L

Audi 80

Mercedes 190

Volvo V70

These are (still) cheap cars that are also solid and each has a certain style. Spare parts are available in masses and any backyard workshop can repair them without any problems.

Man, so much coal I didn't even have for my first 😂😂😂

Here are some suggestions:

Astra G, Corsa C/D

Ford: Fiesta 02, Escort

Toyota: Corolla E11/E12

Skoda: Fabia 1, Octavia 1/2

Renault: Twingo, Clio, Megane

First car should be cheap and not place much value on optics. If you want to save in insurance, then cars with little horsepower and try to avoid German brands (VW, Audi, BMW, Mercedes)

How about the parents insure the car? Maybe they have some SF left?

Otherwise, the SF also rises annually (as long as you do not build an accident) and SF1 is doing well.

Who says you're going to build an accident, and yes it's just when you built an accident then the SF goes down again and you pay more for the insurance.

Better you're doing this about your parents and paying less…

Enter your keiteries at mobile.de and see what's coming out.

At €2,000 you can't expect miracles, there are usually only cucumbers.

For two giants you don't have much choice.

Maybe any dealer has a sworn Opel Corsa without a HU record.

or a 99 Vectra or Omega that still runs 80,000km without problems for the same money.

With a bigger middle-class car, that's not a problem….

What do you think you have at €2,000?

Remember that you need at first about €1000 for liability insurance
