Which CPU for the Radeon Rx 7800 XT?

I want to buy a gaming PC. I have already decided on a B650 motherboard, an Rx 7800xt, 32gb ddr5 and 750 watt 80+ Gold and am thinking about getting the amd Ryzen 7 7800x3d as the CPU. However, I would like to hear your opinion. Do you have any other ideas or do you agree with me?

If you want to save money, it also does a Ryzen 7700X, but the 7800X3D may save 1x upgrade.

At the current prices of the 7800X3D I would rather take the 7500F. So easy enough for the 7800XT

And at the RAM, please make sure it is a 6000 CL30 kit or better

Ryzen 7000 loves low latencies. 6000MHz CL28 would be better

🙈 If you have time, you can compare prices for some days for the expensive components. It should be for 382 euros. If you have time until Black Week in November, you may find a better offer.

But of course you're right about the price. I paid 346 euros for my CPU. 🤔

No use.

For a performance increase? But close to useless.

But yes, the difference is not big between CL30 and CL28

There's no more or less.

You can think of yourself if you want to do something yourself.

How long does this take 5min? If you do, it's the cheapest and best kit.

If you don't want to take this one takes a 6000 CL30 kit, activates EXPO and is good

That's the problem. The subtimings are usually even worse than without XMP or EXPO. There are 5200 or 5600 kits that are better than 6000. Because the timings in the EXPO/XMP are simply great.

That's why the Patriot Kit buy Hynix settings on it, PBO on, Powerlimit high and enjoy 5-10% more performance within 10min.

The CL latency doesn't matter. Almost useless.

Simply buy and complete 6400MT/s Patriot Viper Venom Kit. Makes 6400MT/s timings for a 6000 hynix with 1.325-1.4V.

And better 7700, instead of 7700x.

Hello,

Do you have other ideas or do you agree with me?

The Ryzen 7 7800x3D is a good choice. A very strong processor that will be enough for a while. Unfortunately, he is currently very expensive… so maybe first go to a Ryzen 5 7500F. Then upgrade to a Ryzen 7 9800x3D if the power is no longer long.

For mainly CPU based games on 1080p: 7800x3d

For GPU based games on 4k: 7500f

All in between: 7700

7800x3d is too expensive, would currently grab 7700.
