Which container shape leaks faster?
I have a task in process engineering: Two different containers have the same volume, the same height and
The lowest point has the same small outlet opening. One container is
one hemisphere, the other a cylinder (dashed cross-section). Which
Will the container leak faster? I hope someone can answer this for me.
I would say the hemisphere because the liquid is already led to the opening, as in a funnel. In the cylinder it will probably take a little longer until the liquid reaches the opening.
I hope that helps, but I'm not sure.
