Which component for what?
Hello!
I would like to slightly upgrade my PC for Christmas.
I've been pretty happy with it since 2018, and my PC has held up very well to this day. But now I'm wondering the following:
Which components do I need to achieve the following goal? (Graphics drivers, GPU, CPU, and whatever else is available) So what is responsible for what?
These are my goals:
- More FPS and smoother frame transitions in video games*
- More performance. By that, I mean that applications can render and compile faster, or in general, that everything loads faster than usual (which isn't dependent on the internet).
- I don't care about graphics in video games
*I'd like to say this: My boyfriend and I play the same game. Even though I consistently get 80-100 FPS, his game feels significantly different. It's like playing a different game. Everything is smoother and much more pleasant to look at and play better (not graphics-related).
Thank you for helping someone who has no idea!

This can also be on the screen, example a television has more latency (image transfer speed) than a monitor.
The pure working force is the working memory, so it is called Ram
However, this also includes a good fast hard drive, the best ram does not bring when reading and writing speed takes forever, means also ne good SSD or nvme ssd would be sensible
It also depends on the overall set, the CPU works closely with motherboard and ram, the hard drive also needs the ram is clear, the graphics card needs CPU and RAM and it itself must be good enough.
To do this, game settings, game bugs, also TV settings, Windows settings also set any background options can slow down the PC, e.g. if you can monitor all data from Microsoft.
If you think you need to use extra virus scanners if you think resetting would be useful on PC (es buggt)
and if temp data have been accumulated for too long, one must reinstall the system. (Previously secure data always times)
Ahja and dont stop a working system.
If something goes well, don’t play around. Updates are only proportionally meaningful, not always.
Hello,
You can’t say that at all. Not without reason the PC is called “System”. Everything is connected and connected. In the end, all components are somehow responsible for the performance of the system. The weakest member limits this performance.
Dito up, the whole system. Where CPU, GPU and RAM carry the main load
Some applications benefit from high CPU power, others from high GPU power
