Why shouldn't you wash colored laundry with universal/heavy-duty detergent?
I always use the capsules and have two types: Universal/Full (depending on the manufacturer) for 20 to 90°C, and Color for 30 to 60°C. A normal Washing machine hides three compartments in their small drawer on the left. You are divided when you pull the container, as follows:
The compartment left, (No. 1) mostly characterized by the Roman II, is used for the detergent for the main wash.
The compartment in the middle, (No. 2) usually characterized by a flower blossom, is used for the softener.
The compartment right, (No. 3) usually characterized by the Roman I, is used for the detergent for prewashing.

In my washing machine, the detergent for the main washing cycle comes into the compartment marked with 1 at you, 2 is dishwasher and 3 would be prewash.
