Which camera to record good YouTube videos (for starters/beginners)?
Which camera is suitable for starting out as a YouTuber? I'd like to start, but my laptop's built-in camera isn't ideal. I do ASMR, and for that, the lighting is usually dark, or rather, a string of lights is visible, and the room itself is dark. I want to capture that mood well. That's not possible with my Mac camera; it just looks pixelated…
Do you have any ideas what YouTubers (not the big ones) use to start with?

A Canon Powershot (the cheaper models) would be completely enough for the start…compact and already makes good video recordings

You have the problem of light, but do you want to fix it with a new camera? That’s kind of like your TV is too quiet, but instead of controlling the volume you buy a hearing aid.
How about better lighting instead? In the end, you can control the picture darker if you want the look. A cell phone camera is sufficient for filming with good lighting.
I’d rather put your money into a good micro for ASMR, not a person who looks like this interested in the video.
current handys can record first-class videos. you just have to build them right and provide them with proper light.
