We'd like to buy a camcorder that can record in 4K and—very importantly—that allows us to continue filming, so we can basically pause and, for example, continue filming the next day where we left off. I don't know anything about this, so please don't laugh if you can do it with all of them 🤣 The camcorder shouldn't necessarily cost €1,000; up to €700 would be fine 😊

Who’s the “we”, are you talking in the Pluralis Majestatis? Camcorders are actually dusting in the shop racks nowadays, because current premium phones sometimes provide better image quality in part from 15 or 20 times zoom. If you want better image quality, you can film with a system camera, because the films are much more professional than with the phone or camcorder.
The battery is empty until there. You just cut it on your PC.

Well, apart from the fact that it doesn’t matter who I mean with “we”, I had mentioned that I want to cut nix on the PC and that the phones are now good or better I know, but it just works better with a camcorder. But thanks for the recommendations 😉
In general, Sony AX33. Used about 500€, 4K and pretty good quality.
But this feature would not be known to me with a camcorder, for which also – simply drag and export the files in the correct order into a editing program and you have the same result.

There are still new Panasonic HC-VX11EG-K. But camcorders are no longer represented, apart from semipro and professional, most of them play in the used market.
